This Weekend....

I hope everyone was able to enjoy a lovely weekend. As we were lucky enough to have the sun out both on Saturday and Sunday, I spend some time strolling through the city and going through some magazines. Now I am off to a busy week with yet to be full-filled projects for Uni...
Have a nice Monday!

Pearls and Pyjamas

When I was little, one of the things that brought me endless pleasure was going through my grandmother's closet. I was so amazed by all the different fabrics, colors, and shapes, especially (to this day ;)) by her heavenly shoe closet and her beautiful jewelry collection. I would spend hours with her, trying everything from kitten heels to necklaces. Sometimes I would still be in my little pyjamas but still swing on her pearl necklace. Even today we occasionally visit her closet just to dress up. My grandmother has always been one my greatest inspirations. She is such an intelligent, strong, and elegant woman. Even though she is my hardest critic at times, she is also my biggest supporter. That's why I am dedicating this post to her. Ich hab dich lieb Omi!

Seashells

Today I have put together a few decorating ideas. I've always loved displaying even little items all around, but often couldn't decide how to present them in the most appealing way (without constantly having to buy new things....) until I discovered the treasure of old jars or simple glasses: Often, just a little polishing will do the trick. To add a bit of a "vacation feel" I like to spread out some of the seashells I have collected during the past few years.
Enjoy!

- This once held jam, now it serves as a nice place to remember the necklace I used to wear when playing dress up -

Black and White

One of the things I have really learned to enjoy is seasonal decoration all around the house. As we are still freezing in cold temperatures all over the city, I at least made a few attempts to bring a somewhat idea of spring inside.

It's in the Bag

Every time I switch between different purses and bags, I ask myself the same question: What to take, what not to?! Pens, lipsticks, nail polish, tissues, coins (!!), and many more things some how always seem to end up in my bag(s). That's why I have reduced the contents down to 11 essentials, perfect for any occasion and (almost) any bag: Sunnies, a notebook and pen to jot down appointments or ideas, keys, smartphone case, a small wallet for coins, and little necessities for feeling fresh and elegant at all times like a light fragrance, powder, mascara, your favorite lipstick, and a comb.

Sunnies - Ray Ban
Notebook - Moleskine
Pen - Pelikan
Eau de Toilette - Clinique
Powder, Mascara, and Lipstick - La Roche Posay
Wallet - Aigner
iPhone case - H&M

Out for Lunch

After an entire morning of rain, the sky finally cleared up a bit around noon. As I was on my way to lunch, I went for a simple yet classic look. I love wearing black leggings, especially with an oversized top and easy shoes. My bag is a just recent purchase. At first, I was a little uncertain of how to combine it, but it has proven to work with almost anything. Whether I'm off to university or meeting friends, it has become a spacious companion!

Favorites....

We all have them: Our very very favorite pieces. Whether it's a bag, shoes, or that very special scent of perfume, even small items can brighten up a gray winter day.

....My absolut favorite perfume. A mix of fig, red cedar tree, bergamot, orange blossom and white oleander.

A (random) but fabulous buy. Easy to pair for night and day.

Some of my favorite jewels.
